Summary/Abstract: The basic content sight of following article is phenomena of democracy in modern society. For contemporary democratic state is essential to deal with growing infl uence of private property and corporative capitalism and on the other side tension between freedom and equality. The article provides basic contribution to discussion about mentioned theme by well known modern political thinkers as R. Dahl, C. E. Lindblon, R. Miliband and C. Offe. We try to explain their opinions and attitudes toward relation of modern state and pluralist society based on representative democracy infl uenced by corporative capitalism.
