Summary/Abstract: The goal of the analysis is to specify the cultural bias in the selection of the pronominal subject in clausal yoga instructions in Polish and Russian, which is presumably parallel to the individualistic and collectivist tendencies existing in the respective societies. Additionally, the focus is placed on the conceptual viewing arrangement underlying linguistic forms of directives which are conventionally used in the examined discourse genre. The research is based on the corpus of 300 tokens for each language.
