Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issues connected with the landing operations carried out by the medical service of the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade during the „Market-Garden” operation. The author presented the process of planning the landing of medical service, the problems of preparing the soldiers to jump and to land in gliders, as well as an outline of how the gliders and planes transporting medical service units were loaded. He gave a considerable amount of attention to the landing itself, performed on the 19th September 1944 in the area of Wolfheze on the north bank of the Rhine (gliders) and 21st September 1944 (paratroopers), and to the work of the medical service in the landing zones. The subject of the improvised landing near Grave, performed by these units of the 1st IPB that had not managed to jump with the main forces near Driel, was brought up too.
