СТАЊЕ КАПИТАЛА МАНАСТИРА ФЕНЕКА ПРЕМА РЕЗУЛТАТИМА ПОПИСА ИМОВИНЕ ИЗ 1896, 1897, 1898. И 1905. ГОДИНЕ
STATE OF THE CAPITAL OF THE FENEK MONASTERY ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS OF THE PROPERTY CENSUS FROM 1896, 1897, 1898 AND 1905

Summary/Abstract: In the patriarchal metropolitan archive of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Sremski Karlovci documents on the inventory of the movable and immovable property of the Fenek monastery from 1896, 1897 and 1898. As it is a matter of a monastery that is in the status of a cultural monument of great importance, new knowledge related to it is a special contribution, and therefore, in the format of archival documents, in this work, property inventories, which can be the subject of a study of a large number of social and humanities. The focus of this work, which is mainly concerned with macroeconomic research, is the economic aspects of the monastery. The paper tried to come to the conclusion whether the monastery in the period 1896–1905 experienced negative of positive changes in capital as well as what influenced those changes. In addition, an effort was made to find out what the stated financial value of property in 1905 is today and two different currencies in two different historical periods were tested. The testing was carried out using the “basket of goods” method and calculation of the value of the monastery’s property according to the value expressed in the amount of gold, which was arrived at on the basis of the gold base of the historical currency of the crown, in which was expressed the value of the monastery’s property in 1905. The research revealed that the value of the property did not change significantly between 1896 and 1905, and that the value of the monastery’s capital was proportionately equal to the amount of 70,05 kg of gold.
