Summary/Abstract: The Primate of Poland Cardinal August Hlond has gone down in history as an outstanding figure. It fell to him to play the role of organizing church structures in post-war Poland, by virtue of special papal privileges, which until then had not been granted to anyone in the Church. He wrote himself into the history of the later Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (Kołobrzeg) Diocese not only by his decisions, but also by visiting its territories. This article contains a description of the privileges, the course of the primate’s meetings with the “German” rulers of the former church structures, information on the new rulers of the apostolic administrations created to replace the former units, as well as the course of the cardinal’s visits to Pokrzywnica, Kołobrzeg (Kołobrzeg) and Koszalin.
