Summary/Abstract: The article examines the activities of František Jehlička and his companies in Poland in 1920. Slovak politicians tried to achieve broad autonomy of Slovakia within Hungary, counting at the same time on the support of Budapest and Warsaw. However, for a number of reasons (changes in the foreign policy situation, Budapest's distrust to Slovak politicians as potential separatists, Warsaw's reluctance to build excessively close relations with Hungary), this project was not viable. At the end of 1920 – beginning of 1921, František Jehlička and his companions moved to the position of complete independence of Slovakia. This plan also did not find support from the leading European states. The main source of the article is the materials of the Hungarian National Archives.
