Virgil Cândea Reading Room at the Romanian Academy Library in Bucharest

Summary/Abstract: On April 29, 2009, Professor Virgil Cândea would have reached the age of 82 years. When passing into eternity, in February 16, 2007, the Professor left behind a special spiritual legacy. Donated by his daughter, Ioana Fedorov, a large part of ancient and modern book collection is now accessible to readers in the Romanian Academy Library in the Virgil Cândea reading room, a hall dedicated to his memory. This text was written at the inauguration of this unique cultural project.
