Northern dimension of Polish foreign policy

Summary/Abstract: The European economic crisis has opened room for Poland to expand cooperation with the EU’s northern member states, in pursuit of advantages such as economic modernization, transfer of know-how and foreign investments. At the same time, though, attempts to expand bi- and multilateral relations have revealed the competing interests of countries in the region, in addition to exposing Poland’s years-long negligence of this foreign policy dimension.
