Summary/Abstract: The Balkan Wars, seen as a significant and successful effort by the Great Powers to address the Eastern Question, turned out to be one of the most significant military and social defeats in Turkish history. The Great Powers, having the authority to define Ottoman borders with the Midye-Enez line in the Treaty of London, aimed to prevent the Ottoman State from regaining its lost territories, particularly Edirne, during the Second Balkan War, and issued threats accordingly. The Balkan Wars showcased a blend of unconventional warfare methods and traditional military tactics. Distinguished members of the Ottoman Army employed these unconventional strategies effectively, both during and after the conflict, to liberate Eastern Thrace and Edirne, as well as to free Western Thrace and establish temporary governance in the region. This study focuses on the operation carried out by Ottoman forces and the Raider Troops led by Kuşçubaşı Eşref to liberate Eastern Thrace during the Second Balkan War.
