Summary/Abstract: As part of its Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy, the Federal Republic of Germany aims to strengthen its international relations by promoting German language, culture and education abroad. While the Federal Foreign Office is primarily responsible for implementing this policy, various institutions and organizations are involved. The aim of this paper is to analyse how German Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy is reflected in Turkey, specifically in the fields of language and education. After an introduction to the Department of Culture and Society of the Federal Foreign Office, institutions such as the Conference of the Ministry of Culture and the Centre for Education Abroad, as well as organisations such as the Goethe Institute and the German Academic Exchange Service will be examined. Finally, joint activities will be discussed. In this way, this paper will demonstrate the place and importance of Germany’s Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy in Turkey.
