Summary/Abstract: The study characterizes basic concepts related to logistics, transport in general, and its specifics falling on freight road transport. As a result, the dual nature - macroeconomic and microeconomic - has been revealed, and its importance as a leading element in the implementation of links in supply chains between enterprises, industries and countries. The research strategy includes the construction of a methodological framework covering four stages - information provision of the research, selection of key indicators, consideration of trends in selected indicators for the study period, by illustrating them through building a regression line, and testing the relationships and dependencies between the selected indicators by a regression model. The empirical analysis was conducted using information from the OECD database on the performance of road freight transport. The methods of induction, deduction, graphical analysis, correlation and regression analysis have been used for the theoretical and empirical analysis. As a result of the analysis, the following more important points can be highlighted - delayed increase in the work performed by road freight transport compared to GDP growth, and decrease in the amount of freight transport due to the introduction of the Mobility package after 2017. Results from the regression analysis show that for the studied period the indicators characterizing the work performed by freight road transport are directly proportional to the dependent variable, but very low values, and the indicators describing the infrastructure are inversely related to the dependent variable.
