Summary/Abstract: The present article aims to bring attention to a new topic of Romanian medieval art centered on the figure of the holy hierarch represented in the frescoes of Orthodox churches in Moldova in the 15th century. During this study, the types of holy hierarchs are identified according to the clothes in which they are clothed, the connection between the liturgical context in which they are painted and the pieces of clothing they wear. The entire study is built on an analytical and comparative working method that brought frescoes of the Romanian space face to face with those of the neighboring territories.
