Summary/Abstract: The research focuses on Antoni Tapies, a Spanish artist from Catalonia, one of the leading names in contemporary art and his art. In this context, the effects of fast culture in the work of Antoni Tapies were examined and examples of his work were given. Many Western artists, seeking a new outlet and dimension in contemporary Western painting, have studied and benefited from the local and traditional culture of the East in order to add a plastic richness to their art. Tapies was one of the artists who experienced this influence. Everything that has to do with art in the West, with artistic purpose and the integration of art into life, has influenced the artist. The influence of Chinese calligraphy and Chinese culture, both as an art and as a way of thinking, has made the artist's style versatile. The artist has made a difference in his works with the influence of Chinese art, especially Chinese calligraphy. Antoni Tapies is known for his colourful tones, agile movements, simplicity and the auto-tomastic style that he uses casually in his works. He showed that he was influenced by the art of Chinese calligraphy by reflecting on his works. Antoni Tapies is known for his eclectic work. The artist has lived a successful artistic life in terms of cultural and innovative thinking. He successfully combined Western and Eastern art.
