Summary/Abstract: This scientific article presents a topical issue of Georgian studies - Georgian culture in the context of the world scientific community. The second half of the 19th century is an important period in the history of world culture: scientific interest in the language, history and culture of eastern countries has increased even more. This is evidenced by the X International Congress of Orientalists (orientalists) held at the University of Geneva on August 23-31, 1894, in which representatives of 18 states and 97 universities took part. Alexander Khakhanashvili and Noe Jordania took part in the work of the Congress. In the ethnographic section, Alexander Khakhanashvili read an interesting report in French, “The Influence of Foreigners on Georgian Civilization.” This is emphasized by another fact - despite the fact that A. Khakhanashvili was a representative of Russia at this Congress, he presented a report on Georgian culture to the world scientific community for review. In his report, he emphasized the geographical location of Georgia, language, traditions and cultural values, the ancient Georgian civilization (relations with Byzantium, Egypt, Syria...). Based on historical fact, he examined the most ancient economic, political, cultural ties with various countries of the world. He emphasized that Georgia, located between the Black and Caspian Seas, acts as a connecting bridge between East and West. It turns out that Georgia had a message with India too... The X International Congress of Orientalists (Orientalists) was an important event in the history of world culture. Scientists of the world have learned correct and important information about the ancient Georgian civilization. The world scientific community became acquainted not only with Georgian national values - language, history and ancient writings; the past, present and national traditions were revealed to them, but the question of studying the nature of the Georgian language was also raised. Analysis and study of problematic issues raised at the X International Congress of Orientalists (Orientalists) are of particular importance in relation to today. The study of the issue is based on press materials, which are chronologically studied using methods of historical-comparative, descriptive, synchronous and diachronic analysis.
