Summary/Abstract: Harbetsuvan Tepesi is located within the Tek Tek Dağları (Tek Tek Mountains) region, 53 km east of Şanlıurfa. Archaeological rescue excavations were carried out between 2017 and 2019 under the direction of Şanlıurfa Museum Directorate on Harbetsuvan Tepesi, which was first discovered during surface surveys in the region in 2014. Many architectural and small finds were unearthed during the excavations, thus showing that Harbetsuvan Tepesi has similar features to Göbekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, Sayburç, Nevali Çori, Ayanlar Höyük, Şanlıurfa-Yeni Mahalle, Sefer Tepe, Kurt Tepesi, Hamzan Tepe and Taşlı Tepe. It was understood that it was a settlement belonging to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic Period. When we look at the small finds unearthed on Harbetsuvan Tepesi, the most common ones appear to be finds made of flint. Tools made from flint are in the form of arrow and spearheads, scrapers, drills, sickle blades and stone pencils. The flint cores recovered are mostly bipolar naviform cores. When we look at the obsidians, we see that they mostly consist of blades. The fact that obsidian core renewal pieces were recovered shows that tool making was carried out in the settlement. Additionally, a Byblos type arrowhead made of obsidian was also found intact. When we look at other small finds, we see decorated stone plates and beads made of serpentine and limestone. The decorations on the stone plates are generally in the form of geometric motifs. In this study, all the small finds unearthed in Harbetsuvan Tepesi were evaluated together.
