Bibliometric Analysis of Postgraduate Theses on COVID-19 Published in Different Departments Related to Tourism and Gastronomy

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to provide an overview of scientific research in these fields by examining postgraduate theses containing COVID-19 published in the fields of tourism, gastronomy and culinary arts. In this context, in the detailed scanning section of the YÖKTEZ database, "Covid- 19", "Covid 19", "COVID-19", "2019-nCoV", "Covid-19", "Coronavirus", "Pandemic" using the keywords 88 postgraduate theses on tourism or gastronomy themed have been determined. As a result of the research, Covid-19 and tourism or Covid-19 and gastronomy-based issues were studied in 2022 at most; almost all of the graduate theses are at the master's level; theses are mostly Assoc. Dr. guided by academics with the title; It has been determined that thesis are completed mainly in the range of 101-150 pages. In addition, the University of Applied Sciences in Sakarya is the university that most reaches to the Covid-19 theme in the literature of tourism and gastronomy and culinary arts, thesis are usually published in the Institute of Social Sciences and the Main Science Branch of Tourism Management, qualitative research methods that include different data collection techniques are most preferred; Since only the survey technique is preferred as the data collection tool in all quantitative research, the survey technique comes to the fore in the data collection process; it was concluded that the working class was specifically selected as the sample group. In addition, the sample size often consists of the number of people in the range of 0-50; among the keywords, the word Covid-19 was primarily included; the issue of Covid-19 and businesses is the most striking issue; it has also been understood that statistical methods are used more in data analysis and purposeful sampling and convenience sampling method are mostly applied.Keywords:
