Reviewing media models, modes and modalities. Towards a transmogrification of media

Summary/Abstract: This second issue of “Ekphrasis”, also dedicated to the issues of media border crossings, is addressing some of the questions raised previously by the first volume of this year, while further exploring the problems of intermediality, multimodality and transmediality. Acknowledging that we are indebted to the intellectual heritage of Lars Elleström’s studies and conceptualizations, and, while considering that his basic theoretic assumptions are fundamental, we also consider that an important way to further acknowledge this influence is to question and explore this model.
