INFLUENCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL PARAMETERS ON BUSINESS AGILITY OF IT COMPANIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

Summary/Abstract: In a turbulent business environment, companies that have adopted the concept of business agility can survive on the market and achieve a significant competitive advantage. IT companies that operate in one of the most propulsive sectors of the economy have accepted the practice and tools of agile business and can support companies from other sectors when introducing a new paradigm. The subject of research in paper is the analysis of the direct and indirect influence of information-technological agility, organizational-technological agility and organizational learning on business agility. In the paper, the partial least squares (PLS) regression method was applied to a sample of 347 respondents employed in IT companies in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The findings point to the conclusions that information technology agility determines business agility to the greatest extent, thus confirming the hypothesis that leadership, good prospects for business in the future, readiness to react quickly to the moves of the competition and the success rate in launching new products, are the strongest directly affect the business agility of IT companies. The findings from this empirical research can contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the concept of business agility and serve as a model for managers to strengthen organizational parameters in order to incorporate agility into the company's strategy.
