Usage and preference of grammatical and semantic congruence in complex syntactic structures

Summary/Abstract: In this research paper, we studied the preference for grammatical and semantic congruence in paucal phrases among Bijeljina respondents. Excluded were non-locals and nonSerbian speakers. Factors considered were: gender, age, education, and living environment. A questionnaire with two parts was used: completion of 12 sentences and rating 24 positively oriented statements (12 for each congruence). 60 online respondents participated. Results show a favorable view of grammatical congruence and less so for semantic congruence.
