Summary/Abstract: Ioana Crăciunescu (b. 1950) is well known in Romania both as a theater and film actress and also as a poet. Having left for France in 1990, after The Romanian Revolution of December 1989, in a kind of self-imposed "exile", motivated by her profession as an actress and inevitably imprinting her quality as a poet, Ioana Crăciunescu continued to exist creatively in(-between) two worlds. As a consequence, her poetry also feels dichotomies like "before-after 1990", "here (Romania)-there (France)" type.My paper aims to analyze the critical reception of her poetry in diachrony, from the communist regime era to the present days.
