Summary/Abstract: In this study, from 1952 to 1960, when Maritime Bank Turkish Incorporated Company Partnership was in operation, maritime transportation studies in Turkey and its effects on the economy were focused. In this article, establishment and duties of Maritime Bank (1951-1952); The financial situation and transportation revenues of Maritime Bank (1952-1960) and the activities of Maritime Bank (1952- 1960) are discussed in three parts. The effects of the bank's actions on the country's economy were examined with numerical data. The source material of the study is the Republic Archive documents from official publications, the laws and minutes of the TBMM, Memorandum Diary of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Official Newspaper, the History of the Month, statistical yearbooks and articles from newspapers and magazines. The results obtained from the research are as follows: It is understood from the vitality experienced in transportation, port and shipyard services that the Maritime Bank increased its deposits and revenues through organizational activities after it started operating. In this revival; The increase in the number of ships, the amount of transport on international lines and the loading-unloading and warehousing capacity at ports were effective. Moreover, Turkish engineers and workers save foreign currency by manufacturing various types of ships, ferries and sea buses for the purpose of transporting passengers and cargo in the shipyards of the Bank, and the possibility of comfortable travel by flying the Turkish flag on the seas has resulted in support for the country's economy.
