Summary/Abstract: This article examines the properties left behind after the death of Naksi Mustafa Aga, one of the aghas who served in the Enderun-i Humayun during the reigns of Sultan Mahmud I, Osman III and Mustafa III, and the modest foundation he established. Naksi Mustafa Aga's life, which began in Kastamonu and extended to Topkapi Palace, was shaped by his diligent personality and personal talents; especially his close relationship with Sultan Mustafa III gave him an influential position in the palace. As a result, with the accession of Mustafa III, he was transferred to the Has Oda and assigned as a coffee maker (kahvecibasi); he also became one of the leading officials of the institution of disguise and travelled with Mustafa III in disguise. Mustafa Aga, who also made various purchases on behalf of the sultan, wrote a vakayiname in which he reported the developments in the palace and the activities of the sultan. After his death, his property left behind, especially his belongings in his room in the Enderun-i Humayun, was collected and his estate was created, and then a large part of it was sold at an auction. While a significant portion of his belongings consisted of his clothes, a large amount of household items, tools for tobacco, writing instruments and precious riding suits were among the prominent items of the Aga. His wakf/foundation, consisting of a lihye-i serif, a silver kadem-i serif and six hundred kuruş in cash, was donated to the Kiler Odasi, of which he himself was once a member. The present study aims to make the existence of Naksi Mustafa Aga, who, despite his influential position, does not find a place in the narrative of the period, more visible through primary sources.
