Summary/Abstract: One of the most critical conditions for understanding any other culture (and a whole different set of values, norms, ideas, etc.) is the awareness of differences. Cultural anthropology deals with the study of Others, finding meaning in other people’s worlds so that we can understand ourselves more easily. Within the broad topic of dialogic cultures, we will talk about Tsvetan Todorov (who left us physically in 2017) andOne of the most critical conditions for understanding any other culture (and a whole different set of values, norms, ideas, etc.) is the awareness of differences.
