Summary/Abstract: Purpose: to situate macroprudential policy within the framework of policy mix and to identify potential weaknesses in the macroprudential architecture in Poland. Methodology: critical analysis of decision-making and implementation of preventive tools within macroprudential policy.Findings: cooperation among the members of the Financial Stability Committee (with distinct motivations) is the only way to eliminate the trade-offs and time delays in the process of preventing systemic risk.
