The condition of the royal army in the letters of Jan Joachim Kampenhausen, the garrison commander of Lviv in 1712–1715 addressed to the Grand Hetman of the Crown, Adam Mikołaj Sieniawski

Summary/Abstract: This work attempts to present the problems that the royal army faced in the first half of the 18th century based on Jan Joachim Kampenhausen’s letter collection ad- dressed to the Grand Hetman of the Crown, Adam Mikołaj Sieniawski. Because of its breadth and a detailed depictions of problems of the Lviv’s garrison contained in it, this correspondence is valuable and its content can be treated as a model example, absent from historiography to this day.
