Summary/Abstract: In the study we start from the assumption that the Transylvanism observed in the work of Benő Karácsony forms a separate line within the literary program of Transylvanism, in which the contemporary environment of the author and the representation of the Transylvanian city play a major role. The vision of Benő Karácsony (and his colleagues) does not go to the past of Transylvania, but on the contrary, to the Transylvanian city in the perspective of the beginning of the 20th century. Due to his unique representational technique, he only hints at specific locations, but still draws the Transylvanian city of the early 20th century with definite outlines. All this will be explained in more detail in the study.
