Summary/Abstract: As a creative village pastor, Béla Csekes maintained excellent foreign relations for the benefit of his fellow pastors suffering grievances. He spoke several languages. He visited America, Canada, served in Bečej (Óbecse), Hungary, then returned to his narrower homeland. In my thesis, I present previously unexplored information about his life. My aim is to build public awareness for his life-work, to make known the periodical called Református Világszemle (Reformed World Review), published by him, from which we can get an excellent picture of the situation of the Reformed Church in the 1930s, not only overseas, but also in South Slovakia, Transylvania, North Serbia and Croatia. It also reports extensively on the situation of the Reformed Church and its members living in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. I researched the life of the pastor in the archives of the Reformed parishes of the villages Sap and Radvaň nad Dunajom, in the issues of the newspaper Református Világszemle, in the archives of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Prague (Českobratská cirkev evanjelická), in the Central Archives in the town of Komárno, functioning by the Synodical Council of the Reformed Christian Church in Slovakia and the archives of the Transdanubian Reformed Church District in Pápa, Hungary.
