Summary/Abstract: One of the recurrent forms of resistance to institutional changes is organizational cynicism, characterized by negative evaluations and mistrust towards certain people, groups or the institution as a whole. Considered as the reverse of "perceived organizational support", organizational cynicism is rooted in various negative experiences of employees in implementating organizational change. Thus, identifying the level of organizational cynicism is essential in order to understand the resistance that employees show in the context of planned changes within the institution. Through this article, we intend to present some theoretical syntheses regarding the phenomenon of organizational cynicism (definitions, factors and methods of investigation), with specific details regarding the manifestation of cynicism in educational institutions.
