Summary/Abstract: The article examines the results of the experimental and auditive įnvestigations of the murmur vowels in the Nothern Panevėžiškiai subdialect. The experimental įnvestigations show that the finai segments of the words are devoid of vowel features: periodical waves, pitch, formants of wovels, etc. Experimentally, only the oposition of voiced and voiceless consonants is confirmed in the final combination, e. g. badas - batas. Related to the results of the auditive experiments, the difference is best observed between the words of the badas - batas type (about 94%). Suchlike words were indentifiedusing the following features: accent, intonation, quality and quantity of the wovel of the root. The other words were recognized badly (49%).
