Summary/Abstract: This article is a review of the book IAzyk i voĭna: Okkupatsionnaia iazykovaia politika v Slavii vo vremia Vtoroĭ mirovoĭ voĭny [Language and War: Language Policy in the Occupied Slavic Countries during World War II] (2021) by Andrei Zinkevich. The monograph under review is devoted to the reconstruction of the language policy in the occupied Slavic countries during the Second World War. Zinkevich defines the types of language policy in the countries under consideration and classifies their main features. His book is especially relevant today: since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it has been read differently.
