Summary/Abstract: The new Regulation (EU) no. 1783/2020 resumes the rule from the previous regulation, which provides for direct communication between the courts involved in order to obtain evidence but shows that requests and communications are transmitted through a decentralized, secure and reliable IT system, with due respect for rights and freedoms fundamentals.Priority is given to the use of international rogatory commissions by accessing the online environment, without denying the possibility of direct taking of evidence, by the participation of the magistrates of the requesting court in the taking of evidence on the territory of the requested European state, but the use of communication technology, such as videoconference or teleconference, is encouraged, precisely to ensure the speed and efficiency of the taking of the evidence
