Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of contrastive studies in the field of Spanish and Serbian phraseology, according to the main lines of research and primary goals set by the authors. The corpus consists of 82 contrastive articles, 3 books, 3 doctoral dissertations and 23 master’s thesis, published in the last 20 years (between 2003 and 2022). The publications are classified according to the following six research approaches: (1) semantic-semiotic, (2) semantic-cognitive, (3) cultural, (4) theoretical, (5) applied, and (6) pragmatic-textual. The work is descriptive and it aims to provide a systematic and complete insight into contrastive phraseological research on Spanish and Serbian. It also seeks to bring together the existing bibliography, in order to guide future researchers.
