Summary/Abstract: In today's world, where the importance of the visual is increasing and social media is being skillfully used by populists, the visualization of politics can be considered as transformative forces, as these processes make certain aspects of international relations visible and profoundly affect the way of understanding the state of affairs. When digital narratives and the imaginaries they signal are manipulated, as in the case of right-populist examples, they spread faster and have more impact. It is observed that the texture of right-populist discourse conforms to specific patterns and modes of representation. Methodologically, using multimodal discourse analysis, this article examines Turkey-EU relations visualized by the Alternative for Germany party and the images on Turkey-EU relations published by the European Parliament. The main argument is that the right-populist tone transforms Turkey-EU relations pejoratively and this tone is instrumentalized at different levels by coverging or diverging between national and international spheres.
