Summary/Abstract: Report deals with the problems of labor migration that developed in Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The main reason for the intensification of migration processes is the complex socio-economic problems among the population. Migration affects not only labor outflow, but also gender ratio within migration. Women, like men, are forced to leave their families and look for work in other countries. Based on this, migration processes and their management have become one of the important directions of Georgia’s policy. In recent years, the country has seen significant changes in the regulation of migration processes, government has developed legislation, policies and institutional arrangements. Despite the work done, there are still open questions on providing legal ways for Georgian workers to access employment in the Member States of the European Union.
