Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the distance education courses conducted at primary school level during the coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic period in Turkey based on the views of primary school teachers. The study group of this qualitative research, which was designed as a case study, consists of 20 primary school teachers working in Malatya in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data were collected through interviews with teachers using a semistructured interview form prepared by the researcher. This form includes questions developed in line with expert opinions in order to determine teacher views on online courses. The raw data obtained were analysed by descriptive analysis method. According to the findings obtained as a result of the study, it was concluded that online lessons will be efficient when the necessary conditions are created and tools and equipment are provided, but online lessons cannot be efficient when teacher competence for the use of technology is not effective, online lessons are difficult to be efficient without parental support, internet infrastructure should be good in the lessons, and it creates problems for disadvantaged students who cannot have these opportunities. Based on these results, it was suggested that teachers should receive more in-service training for online courses, students and teachers should be supported to avoid hardware problems, and parents should be informed about the online course process.
