Summary/Abstract: The Bulgarian economy has passed through a number of trials and reforms in the last twenty years. Not only a radical change in its form of organization was done, but also restructuring of its basic sectors. Those processes strongly affected the industry. That is whole branches and productions were closed down and the number of the functioning economic units was vastly reduced. All this reflected rather negatively on the traditional Bulgarian productions, tailoring as well. According to the official statistic data, this is one of the stable industrial branches with good rates of development and an increasing relative share in the general production. However, in practice the problems within it are too many and most of them are deeply hidden below the surface. This provokes investigating the condition and trends in the “Tailoring industry” branch. Part of the outputs is an object of discussion in the present article.
