Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to study the problem of the spread of imitation of the Eravian type of the Roman denarius Rosca Phobata on the lands of the Malokopan archaeological complex. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the study are formed by combining archaeological, numismatic, physical, chemical and general scientific methods. This approach, combined with the available source base, allowed for a comprehensive approach to solving the research problem. Scientific novelty. The problem of the spread of numismatic monuments of the barbarian world of the second half of the first century BC is an important element of a comprehensive study of the problem of money and money circulation. To formulate a hypothesis about the origin of the studied imitations, a non-destructive method of studying the composition of metals using an XRF analyser was carried out. The main results of the study. Thus, based on the available sources and our research, we can state that imitations of the Rosca Fabata coin type most likely came to the territory of the latent Dacian settlement in the mid-first century BC. Since we have established the same mintage of two imitations and found a potentially similar imitation, we can assume that there were at least indirect ties with the Eravisca tribes, and coins with the same defect were minted and arrived in the Malokopan region at the same time, most likely together with looted spoils, just like Illyrian coins during Burebista's military campaigns.
