Summary/Abstract: The theme of artificial intelligence (A.I.) has become central in multiple contexts, including in the realm of copyright. The processing of data with the assistance of A.I. and how it influences copyright have increasingly become topics of interest. The article focuses on analyzing the fact that both humans and A.I. can use copyrighted content in the process of learning and content generation. A.I. lacks a subjective understanding of the world, but its understanding process relies on statistical models and training data, and copyright infringements can occur in the phases of learning and generation. Therefore, various perspectives on the impact of A.I. on the ways copyright is infringed are considered. Additionally, it shows how new European regulations, such as the AI Act, propose greater transparency regarding the training data used for generative AI models, and providers must document and make details about the use of training data available to the public.
