Stained Glass for the Church in Senetářov, Iconology and Theology

Summary/Abstract: Stained glass windows are of great importance in the artistic work of Ludvík Kolek. In this article, we want to present hitherto unpublished designs for stained glass windows for the church in Senetářov. These designs have their own symbolism and form a set with a clearly defined iconographic program. From the proposals of the Divine Trinity, it moves to the seven sacraments, and the whole composition ends with the theme of parousia. The iconology of the windows refers to theology and above all to the liturgical celebration, when Christ - light transforms created matter.
