Summary/Abstract: The article describes public-private partnership (PPP) within public healthcare protection in Netherlands. PPP in this sector consist in implementing private healthcare insurance pro- ducts in basic social protection system. Healthcare system in Netherlands is perceived as the second best healthcare system within European Union.The Author put attention to the financial side of the system. There were described ex-ante contributions (flat rate contribution, income-related contribution) and ex-post contribution (risk-adjustment contribution). The last part of the article concerns exceptional medical ex- penses insurance, that can be viewed as a type of long-term care insurance.
