Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present some remarks on the evolution of food traditions and practices in the village of Berivoi, Recea commune, Brașov county, based on a comparative analysis of two ethnological documents, created eight and a half decades apart, with different methodologies and intentions: a manuscript written in 1937 by Ioan Chiuşdea, as an answer to Questionnaire VIII (Food and Beverages) of the Romanian Language Museum, and an interview conducted by the author, in July 2022, with Viorica Socol (b. 1946), well known in her village and in the region for her cooking skills.
