Summary/Abstract: The article deals on the problem of reality from the nihilistic standpoint. The phenomenon of nihilism is investigated sustaining the philosophical positions of the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and of the contemporary French thinker Jean Baudrillard. It is maintained that Nietzsche who declares "the death of Christian God" and asserts the idea of the Superman makes the ontological destruction and denys traditional metaphysics. The authoress of this article predicates that Baudrillard "consummates" Nietzschean nihilism. Why? Baudrillard maintains that the Real as such is annihilated under the influence of the prevailing process of simulation and now there are left barely the perfect images of it. These are simulacrums without any relation with the empirical objects. At the end of the article is assumed that the overcome of the nihilism in the background of the ontological conditions of contemporary epoch is impossible in principle arguing the decay of the essential relation between the Real and the human mind.
