Summary/Abstract: The paper, based on both archival and edited sources, draws attention to the influence of the Czechoslovak Communist Party on the students in Carpathian Ruthenia and on the local student organisations in the interwar period. Author analyses the cooperation of student activists with party bodies and with the press, their participation in pro-Soviet organisations and their activities, organised with the support of the Communist Party. A special attention is given to student Communist editions Lastivka (1929) and Postup (1931–1933) and to the reaction of Czechoslovak authorities as well as of other professional students’ associations in Carpathian Ruthenia.
