Summary/Abstract: Captain Mihai Chirita is one of the Romania Navy officers fought during WW II with dignity and an accute sense of duty. He wrote with rigor the most important events he experienced firsthand. In his donation to the Romanian National Naval Museum we find his tales, given three decades after the end of the war, with a letter in which we identify his warrior spirit. Through these lines with modesty he gives us a short autobiography. For us his experiences are very imporant, not only those of the first days of war, but also those at the end, after August 23 1944. They are a mirror of those dramatic events from a period that shook the world.
