Summary/Abstract: The contribution deals with the edition of economic instruction and publishes its text in full. In the introductory part, the source is defined from the diplomatic point of view. At first, the economic instruction contains a list of individual administrative and economical clerks who worked at specific posts in the landlord´s office, also in farmyards and landlord businesses e. g. breweries, sawmills, brick-yards, etc. Then it describes regulations and assignments imposed on every participant of the system of seignorial apparatus. In the following part of the contribution there are characteristics of outer and inner features of the source itself. It is devoted to the description of binding, a book block, script, folio, also the fate of the manuscript that has been deposited in the National Archives in Prague since 1928. It also reflects language changes in phonology - monophthongisation, assimilation, removing diagraphs, variability in using individual vowels and consonants according to the meaning. Similarly, prepositional phrases adapted according to the present language usage. This passage ends with additional information about the punctuation and function of different types of brackets (or parentheses) in the text of the edition. The edition of the manuscript itself is divided into three parts – introduction, economic instruction and close. The issue of economic instruction is explained in the introduction as an effort to preserve order in the demesne. The following 23 articles characterise individual branches of seignorial administration in detail, from directions how to take care of the castle, supervision of servants, grooms and farm-maids, keeping inventories, collecting registers and accounts, to the punishing of crimes and the dishonest trading or care of orphans, as well as instructions on managing dominical running and farm yards, and to appropriate care of vineyards, ponds, woods and sheep-folds. In the conclusion, the author of the text wishes people to observe the Instruction carefully, so that the officials themselves would prevent damages and help to gain yield and profit, take care of the welfare of their subjects and the whole demesne.
