Summary/Abstract: The text aims to apply the category of ‘neighbouring’ in the interpretation of the poems in Tomasz Łychowski’s latest volume Noe’s Arc. Tomasz Łychowski is a poetof Polish origin who has been living and writing in Brazil. For many years, he haspresented issues connected with emigration and transgressing geographical, cultural, and language boundaries in his poetry. These issues are also important inthe poems published in the volume under analysis. A unifying, deeply humanistic approach the poet embraces seems to be aptly captured in the concept of ‘neighbouring’, albeit it is regarded somewhat metaphorically.
