Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the identity of the figure referred to as the Son of God / the Most High in the Qumran writing known as Aramaic apocalypse (4Q246). The first part of the paper presents the text, translation, and structure of this Dead Sea scroll. Subsequently, the paper examines arguments supporting two distinct approaches to answering the question about the identity of the figure in question. This identity may be interpreted positively or negatively, aligning with the primary eschatological hope of the Qumran community or deviating from it. The analysis suggests that stronger arguments favor the assumption that the Son of God / the Most High is a positive figure, indicating a messianic role associated with these titles. By respecting the intertextual relationship of 4Q246 with the Book of Daniel (Dan 7) and bringing the Aramaic apocalypse into relation with the Gospel of Luke (Lk 1, 32–35), it is concluded that the interpreted Qumranic manuscriptcan be important – that is, the only preserved witness of a pre-Christian synthesis of apocalyptic and Davidic messianism, a unique mode revealed in Jesus Christ.
