Victim position of personality: correlations with early maladaptive schemas domains in adults

Summary/Abstract: The article contains the results of experimental research on the correlations between 5 domains of early maladaptive schemas and the peculiarities of personality victim position. A total of 262 adults participated in the experiment. Significant positive correlations between the indicated variables were identifi ed. The personality victimhood has a signifi cant positive correlation with all 5 domains of early maladaptive schemas (the strongest correlation was identifi ed with Domain IV "Dependence on others"). Different types of manifestation of the victim pozition of personality are most positively correlated with Domain IV „Dependence on others”, Domain V. ”Hypervigilance” and Inhibition”, and Domain I “Separation” and Rejection”.
