Summary/Abstract: The low standard of living in Romania and the increasing demand of the workforce in the sector of care from the European countries, spurs a lot parents’ migration, particularly in the case of women. The care transfer starts when they leave the country to work abroad. The family structures change by means of role reallocation to other members of the extended family. In this situation, various care arrangements and breaches are produced. Aspects like leaving the country may lead to the decrease in the dynamic of child-parent relationship. Under this circumstance, the present article intends to see which are the worlds of care of the children affected and their experiences within the frame of parental migration. Is it also very important to notice which compensatory strategies are put into practice by the transnational families from Romania, so that not to diminish the level of care offered to the children. Moreover, we intend to approach the concept of global care chain.
