Summary/Abstract: This paper contains obituaries: 1. Painter of holy pictures On the first of September LP 2023, the painter and signatory of Charter 77 Juliana Jirousová (September 17, 1943 to August 25, 2023) had her funeral in Stará Říš in Moravia, with the large participation of local residents and friends from the dissident and underground who came to see her off the last earthly journey from the house to the church, after the mass they went with the coffin to the cemetery and finally met to talk and reminisce in the local inn, where Ivan Martin Jirous, known as Magor, once asked Juliana to marry him. 2. "We had no regrets" On September 4, 2023, Ján Zeman, a former resistance fighter and the oldest political prisoner in Slovakia, died. He was only three months away from celebrating his hundredth birthday. In an interview during the filming of the Czech TV series In the footsteps of the third resistance in 2011, he said: "I am proud that we [with my wife] were able to hold our own during the interrogation and did not show them weakness." 3. "I just can't live any other way" Otta Bednářová, journalist, signatory of Charter 77 and member of the Committee for the Defense of the Unjustly Prosecuted, died on September 5, 2023 at the age of ninety-six.
